David Kaylor is a North Carolina-based woodturner who specializes in bowls, hollow vessels and art objects. He concentrates on simple forms that reveal the natural beauty and character of wood.

A retired Professor of Religion, David Kaylor teaches at his home studio in Black Mountain, N.C. His work is on display at Wooden Stone gallery in Davidson, at Hickory Museum of Art, at Arrowhead Gallery and Studios in Old Fort, at Mountain Nest Gallery in Black Mountain, and also at his home studio, where visitors are welcome by appointment.
